Megan and Jérémie’s wedding at Le Pont Couvert in La Conception, was a perfect reflection of who they are—sweet, geeky, and deeply connected. Their love story started on Tinder during the pandemic, and with a shared career field and kind hearts, they clicked instantly. Their wedding day was as unique as their bond, filled with rustic charm, meaningful DIY touches, and a sprinkle of Lord of the Rings magic.
We kicked off the day with a private first look, and it was such a heartwarming moment. Jérémie’s face lit up the second he saw Megan, and you could see all the pre-wedding jitters melt away. They are each other’s safe place, and that was so evident in how they instantly relaxed the moment they were together.
The ceremony took place on the bridge outside the venue, with the stunning facade of Le Pont Couvert as the backdrop. A beautifully crafted hobbit door decorated the arch, a perfect nod to their love for Lord of the Rings. Their close friend officiated, making the ceremony even more personal.
However, the ceremony didn’t start quite as planned! Megan’s grandmother was stuck in traffic, and since it was so important to her that she be there, we decided to delay the ceremony by an hour or so. We made the most of the time by taking bridal party and couple photos, which ended up being such a fun and relaxed part of the day.
And for an extra unexpected moment: one of the groomsmen’s shoe soles completely unglued right before walking down the aisle! He had kept them in the box for years, assuming they were fine, but they gave out at the worst possible time. Luckily, he had a second pair to save the day!
Their bridal party of eight was just as fun and easygoing as the couple! The bridesmaids wore dark green, while the groomspeople rocked black pants with dark green plaid shirts, creating a cool, laid-back look. We joked around all day, and their energy made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
For their couple portraits, we embraced the natural surroundings and the beautiful golden hour light. They kept things casual, focusing on being present with each other, and the results were stunning. I also loved how they incorporated little matching details, like Megan’s sword earrings and Jérémie’s sword tie clip, plus their coordinating nail polish—subtle but meaningful touches that tied everything together.
Megan & Jérémie put so much care into the details of their day, and it showed. Their rustic, DIY aesthetic was brought to life with sunflowers, golden tones, and dark green accents. The space was filled with mismatched wooden chairs, antique pieces, books, mushrooms, and subtle Lord of the Rings references. Every element felt intentional and personal, making the venue feel like an extension of their love story.
Megan & Jérémie kept their reception simple and true to them. Instead of big traditions, they chose to privately cut their cake, which was made even more special because their friend hand-crafted the badgers cake toppers. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere stayed relaxed and intimate—just how they wanted it.
Megan & Jérémie’s wedding was the perfect mix of laid-back, heartfelt, and beautifully unique. From their gorgeous golden-hour portraits to the fun, easygoing energy of their bridal party, everything felt natural and true to who they are. It was such a joy to capture their day, and I couldn’t be happier for these two!
Weddings like this—filled with personality, love, and a relaxed, joyful atmosphere—are exactly why I do what I do. No matter where your wedding takes place, I’d love to be there to document it. Whether in Québec, across Canada, or beyond, I’m always up for an adventure!
