Some weddings are planned for months or even years, and others come together in the most unexpected ways. Béatrice & Philippe’s wedding was one of those wonderful surprises! I first heard from them just three weeks before their big day—their original photographer had a medical emergency, and they needed someone fast. Béatrice remembered my work from a past bride and reached out right away. I’m so glad she did because their day was an absolute joy to capture!
Béatrice & Philippe are both calm, reserved, and incredibly sweet, and their wedding day reflected their personalities beautifully. Set against the backdrop of L’église de la Présentation and the stunning Mouton Village, their celebration was a perfect blend of tradition, nature, and vibrant colours.
The couple got ready in separate rooms at Hotel Rive Gauche in Beloeil. I spent the morning with Béatrice and her bridal party, and I have to say—it was one of the calmest, most relaxed getting-ready moments I’ve experienced! Everyone was helping each other with hair, makeup, and outfit fixes—boob tape included!, and the atmosphere was full of quiet excitement.
Before heading to the church, Béatrice & Philippe had a private first look in a gorgeous field at Mouton Village. It was short and simple but full of emotion. There’s something so special about that quiet moment before the whirlwind of the day truly begins.
The ceremony took place at L’église de la Présentation, a grand and beautiful Catholic church. With family and friends gathered, they shared a meaningful and joyful moment as they officially became husband and wife.
The bridal party was as colorful and fun as the rest of the day. Béatrice's bridesmaids wore the same convertible dress in different colors, each with a matching flower bouquet. Béatrice’s bouquet beautifully incorporated all of their colors, which added such a special touch. Philippe wore a rust-orange suit, standing out in the most stylish way. The groomspeople’s attire was equally stylish, with a man in a tan suit and a woman in a beige dress with colorful flowers, creating a perfect balance of color and charm.
The couple portraits turned out beautifully, thanks to the perfect lighting and Mouton Village’s picturesque surroundings. Béatrice & Philippe were so natural in front of the camera, and we took our time to capture some truly lovely moments together. The photos reflect their connection and the stunning atmosphere of the day.
After the ceremony, guests headed to Mouton Village, where they enjoyed refreshing slushies during the cocktail hour—a perfect treat for the hot day! Béatrice & Philippe wanted to ensure their guests had beautiful couple and family photos, so I spent time capturing those special moments. When it was time for the reception, the bridal party entrance was full of energy, and everyone was on their feet cheering. The in-house catering was a hit, and the celebration continued with delicious food and lively dancing, creating an unforgettable evening.
Despite the forecast, we got lucky with just a little rain here and there. The overcast skies actually made the colours pop beautifully, highlighting the stunning florals, dresses, and décor. I still can’t get over how vibrant and lively everything looked!
Béatrice & Philippe’s wedding was a perfect reminder that sometimes, the most unexpected opportunities turn into the most beautiful experiences. I’m so grateful they found me when they did, and I feel honoured to have captured their love story.
