Annie and Felix are the kind of couple you instantly fall in love with — silly, sweet, and so clearly made for each other. They met during the pandemic at a rock climbing gym, became inseparable, and eventually adopted their beloved dog Jack, who quickly became the centre of their world. When they started planning their wedding, it was with one clear goal in mind: to create something meaningful, relaxed, and easy for the people they love. With Annie’s family flying in from China, they decided to plan everything in just a few short months — and it all came together so beautifully.
The couple got ready onsite at Château Ste-Agnès, a breathtaking vineyard estate in Sutton. The venue offers a charming home where everyone can settle in for the day, and it made for such a calm and cozy start. The guys took over the upper floor while the girls got ready downstairs — the mood was relaxed and emotional in all the best ways.
One especially touching moment was when Annie was gifted a “letters to the bride” book, filled with photos and heartfelt messages from her closest people. As she flipped through the pages, everyone in the room was in tears, it was such a beautiful reminder of how loved she is and set the tone for the day ahead.
Annie and Felix chose to do a first look before the ceremony, just the two of them, tucked away in a quiet corner of the vineyard. It was intimate, emotional, and sweet, with the perfect dash of humour (Felix’s reaction did not disappoint!). Right after, we jumped into their couple portraits while the magic of that moment was still fresh.
Because we had done their engagement session just a few weeks prior, they felt so at ease in front of the camera, which meant I mostly just let them be their silly, deeply-in-love selves. The estate provided an incredible backdrop with its rustic stonework and golden autumn leaves, and the love between them did all the rest. You could feel how obsessed they are with each other in every glance and touch.
Their ceremony was short and heartfelt, officiated by a close friend. Their personal vows were deeply moving — there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd (mine included). And in one of my favourite details of the day, their dog Jack was the ring bearer. He trotted down the aisle like a pro and stole everyone’s hearts. The whole ceremony felt like a big exhale — relaxed, emotional, and completely centered around love.
Annie and Felix went for a minimal, timeless aesthetic that let the natural beauty of the vineyard shine. The real star of the decor was the floral work by Atelier Bota. The bouquet was a gorgeous, colourful mix of creamy cosmos, golden zinnias, soft peachy dahlias, and delicate greenery — perfectly suited to the warm tones of the season and the couple’s joyful vibe. Every floral detail felt intentional without being fussy, adding softness and personality to an already stunning backdrop.
There were no first dances or big formalities during my coverage — instead, the reception was filled with emotional and hilarious speeches from their siblings and best friends. We really got a sense of who Annie and Felix are as individuals and as a couple through the stories that were shared. It felt like such a celebration of not just their love, but the people who helped shape it.
This wedding was everything I love about intimate celebrations — thoughtful, emotional, fun, and full of heart. Annie and Felix planned the day around what truly mattered to them, and it showed in every little detail. The laughter, the vows, the fall scenery, the joy of having family together — it all came together in the most beautiful way. And let’s be honest, any wedding that includes a dog is an instant favourite in my books.
