Geneviève & Patrick met during their very first year of Pharmacy at University, one of those friendships that slowly turned into something more, and then into ten years together before their wedding day. Their story is simple in the best way: built on time, shared growth, and a relationship that feels really solid and easy.
Their wedding day on May 31st, 2025 was the perfect reflection of that. Relaxed, fun, and full of genuine moments with the people who matter most to them.
It rained. All day. The kind of steady spring rain that usually sends couples into panic mode, but not these two. They fully embraced it.
The ceremony was planned outdoors, but because of the weather it was moved inside for a civil ceremony at EuroSpa, surrounded by 125 of their closest friends and family. Instead of feeling like a compromise, it actually made everything feel more intimate and cozy. The overall vibe of the day was very DIY and heartfelt, centered around celebrating their 10 years together rather than following a rigid wedding formula. You could really feel how comfortable and loved they were in their circle.
Geneviève wore a simple and elegant white dress from La Jolie Robe, with a long train and the most beautiful long veil, one of those looks that’s classic and timeless but still feels modern. Patrick went for a beige suit from Ernest, paired with a white shirt and a green tie that tied perfectly into their colour palette. The groomsmen wore green suits with beige ties, which was a cute nod to Patrick’s look and tied everything together so well.
Their decor was all about emerald green, sage and white, with lots of greenery and eucalyptus for a fresh, natural feel. And yes, their florals were from Costco, which honestly just proves (once again) that you don’t need fancy vendors to create something beautiful when you have a clear vision.
We did their couple photos in the gardens at EuroSpa, and even with the rain, the place looked absolutely stunning. Soft light, lush greenery, and that slightly misty atmosphere you only get on rainy days.
But my favourite moment to photograph happened at the very end of the day. Out of nowhere, the entire bridal party decided to run outside in the rain and turn it into a full-on dance party. No worries, no umbrellas, just pure chaos and joy. It was spontaneous, hilarious, and so on-brand for the kind of day Geneviève & Patrick had.
Those are the moments you can’t plan, and the ones you’ll remember forever.
If I had to describe their wedding in one word, it would be fun. Their bridal party was honestly one of the nicest, most energetic, and most fun groups I’ve ever photographed. The kind of people who hype you up, embrace every situation, and make even a rainy day feel like the best possible scenario.
Geneviève & Patrick’s wedding wasn’t about perfection. It was about celebrating a decade of love, doing things their own way, and making the most of every single moment, rain and all. And truly, that’s what made it such a perfect day to photograph.
